We’ve launched a Crowdfunder campaign for our ‘Paris’ group, the only group in Newham dedicated to the needs of LGBTQ (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender or Questioning) youth.

The campaign hopes to raise £6,000 to secure the future of this essential project which helps young people (aged 13-19) to overcome harmful behaviour and make better decisions. Through a weekly support group and intensive mentoring, our young people grow in confidence and become more resilient. We equip them to be proud of who they are.

“Paris is important as it helps people accept themselves, and in times when they’re not necessarily at their best. Like, when I came I was in the mind-set that it’s so wrong to be gay but I just couldn’t change it. Two years on I’m now saying it’s okay to be gay, it’s great.”

We need your help! Currently Paris has very little funding and there is a real possibility that without it, the group may close. Neither we nor the group’s members want this to happen and we only need to raise just £6,000 per year to continue our work and ensure these vulnerable young people are supported to become healthy, resilient and successful young adults.
